How our service works

Log Burner Fitting is a free introduction service, not a fitting company. We put homeowners in touch with an independent, registered stove installer near them, and here is the whole arrangement in plain terms.

Four steps

  1. You describe the job

Postcode, the room, the chimney or lack of one, and how to contact you. It takes a couple of minutes.

  2. A fitter is chosen

One independent stove fitter on the HETAS register, based within reach of your home and used to jobs like yours.

  3. You get their name

We send it by email or ring you. Nothing about you leaves this site until you give the go-ahead.

  4. They visit, then price it

The fitter checks the chimney or the flue route and puts a figure in writing. You choose whether to book; the agreement is yours with them alone.

Things outside our role

  • We do not sell stoves, survey chimneys, fit anything or give quotations ourselves.
  • We do not sign off installations; the registered installer or building control does that.
  • We never charge you.
  • We pass your details to one named installer, and only after you agree.
  • We do not send newsletters or sales calls.

Where our income comes from

The installer pays us a fee for the introduction. Nothing is ever charged to you, and that stays true if you decide against the stove.

About our prices and guides

The costs on this site are typical UK ranges, including VAT, drawn from national price guides and reviewed from time to time. They help you budget; a real price comes after an installer has seen the chimney or the flue route. The summaries of the regulations are a starting point for your own checks, not advice on your particular house.

Get a quote for your stove

Start with a postcode. A few details about the room and the chimney (or the lack of one) let a fitter give you a sensible first figure before they visit.

Free to use. We tell you which registered installer we have in mind before anyone else sees your details.
